1.       The Needed Flavor 2008. Plastic Army men, clay, wood, food container, joint compound, paint, spray paint, dirt. This was the first sculpture I created at VCU. It was a playful piece with a funny story. I was just trying to create a humorous piece for my classmates to enjoy. It reflected my childhood love with armymen and the large imagination I had.

1.       Tower 2007. Plastic army men, spray paint, glue. This was the first of my many studies with form when using premade objects. I only used toy Indian plastic figures.

1.       B-Movie Horror 2009. Bronze, cardboard, fire, paint, glue. This piece was a fun tribute to the old style monster movies of the past. It poked fun at the crude attempts to replicate city buildings with lesser materials and spotty craftmenship. Although movie goers knew what was used in the movies, they were still impacted and even frightened by the monsters. I love these types of movies and hope they never die.

1.       Rebirth 2010. Found plastic objects, spray paint, wood, paint. This piece was about taking ready made objects and transforming them into new forms. The previous forms of the objects still read as they once were; the piece was more about having the objects as a whole come together to create something new but keep the identity they once had.
